It is almost time for 2022 to draw to a close.

Before then, we would like to reflect on some of the exciting announcements and partnerships which have helped the growth of GameDay over the last 12 months.

January

At the beginning of the year we launched our GameDay Marketplace Spotlight series, which shone a spotlight on some of the organisations and products that form part of our GameDay Marketplace.

POLi Internet Banking were one of the first organisations to be highlighted, with GameDay working alongside POLi to make online payments quick and easy.

February

In February we announced that GameDay had undertaken an exciting project to redefine the website templates offered to our valued customers.

This project resulted in major improvements to our website offering, with improved front-end design and new features, along with enhanced build, security and faster deployment processes to ensure a quicker turnaround for customers setting up their new website with GameDay.

March

March saw GameDay partner with Tenpin Bowling Australia, enabling us to support the registration process for their national junior programme, Bowl Patrol.

The connection between ourselves and Tenpin Bowling Australia originated thanks to our existing partnership with the International Bowling Federation (IBF), who utilise GameDay’s registration functionality for their international events.

In August, GameDay joined forces with Stack Team App under the umbrella of Stack Sports, bringing our products closer together via a phased release plan to eventually provide a fully integrated product offering.

The overall plan is to ensure a seamless integration between GameDay & Stack Team App from early 2023, allowing for members, teams, fixtures & events to sync directly to a Stack Team App account which can be initiated via GameDay Marketplace for any organisations using either GameDay or Passport.

September saw GameDay confirm integration plans with Mailchimp, the #1 email marketing and automation software globally.

Many GameDay customers utilise Mailchimp to communicate with their members, create and send newsletters and manage marketing-related opt-ins, and this integration provided a seamless flow of contacts from GameDay to an existing Mailchimp account.

In partnership with the Rugby Football League, we were proud to support the Rugby League World Cup, who used GameDay for their competition and team sheet management.

Given the scale of the tournament, the RFL provided some support to the RLWC21, part of which included using their competition management platform, which is provided by GameDay.

The RLWC21 managed squads, team selections, team sheet management, fixturing, match official allocation and results entry through the GameDay platform, which the RFL have been using since 2016.

After many years of creating draws by slaving away on excel spreadsheets, taking registrations and payments manually or by email and word of mouth, NZ Tag Football Inc (NZTFI) unleashed the power of GameDay within their nationally-run tournaments.

In what is being described as a “Game Changer” for one of the fastest growing team sports in New Zealand, NZTFI rolled out their new technology at the International Tag Series (ITS) in Auckland.
