GameDay has undertaken an exciting project in recent months to redefine our GameDay website templates.

This project has resulted in major improvements to our website offering that will benefit our customers and visitors to your website with improved front-end design and new features, along with enhanced build, security and faster deployment processes ensuring a quicker turnaround for customers setting up their new website with GameDay.

The GameDay websites continue to utilise WordPress as its underlying technology and content management system (CMS).

However, this project has also resulted in streamlining the WordPress CMS to align with our other GameDay products, allowing for seamless integration with the GameDay help knowledge base to provide better support for our users.

Some features to look out for include:

  • A new mobile responsive design for a more engaging user experience.

  • Improved design of homepage with better integration of video and engagement content.

  • Modernised page templates, as well as a page-builder which lets clubs build their own custom pages.

  • A new intuitive admin portal in the CMS, with integrated help to make it easier to manage your website.

Luke Hally, GameDay head of websites & digital, said: “By working closely with our customers from across the globe we have built new and improved website themes that will give sports organisations the cost benefits of a templated website combined with the flexibility of a bespoke custom website.”

This project has also involved engagement with a number of existing customers that already utilised GameDay websites, and involved a number of customers in a BETA phase.

We’ve worked closely with these customers to coordinate a transition to the new template, while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing management of their websites resulting in no direct impact on visitors to each website.

This will support GameDay’s plans for future scalability and adoption of the GameDay website product suite, improve the onboarding experience for customers and ongoing management of websites, and enhance the engagement with your website visitors, members and customers.

Planning of future enhancements and closer integration with GameDay competition management & GameDay events is well underway, with more information about these exciting new features to be released shortly.

The new GameDay website templates will be rolled out to the remainder of our customer base over the coming months, and we look forward to continuing to enhance our GameDay website solutions.
