GameDay and Rewards4 have partnered up alongside our long-term customer the Rugby Football League (RFL), delivering an integration that allows RFL Our League Active Members the opportunity to save money on their national registration fees when registering with GameDay.
Rewards4 is the largest operator of sports-based rewards programmes which helps supporters save money watching and supporting the team they love. Their award-winning loyalty solutions allows sports fans to be rewarded by collecting points for their transactional and engagement behaviour which can then be redeemed to save money with their clubs on tickets, memberships and merchandise purchases. The more points fans collect, the bigger the saving they will make.
GameDay has a long-standing relationship with the Rugby Football League, having provided the official registration and competition management platform for rugby league since 2016. GameDay were already providing participation data that allows members to earn rewards for being selected in matches, scoring tries and winning Player of the Match awards.
As part of our latest integration, participants and volunteers across the game who register to the Rugby Football League can now redeem their Rewards4 points to save money on their Our League Active memberships.
Members can choose how much money they wish to save based on their rewards balance, for many members this is a well earned reward for their engagement as a fan or participant in Rugby League.
Richard Donlon, head of technology for the Rugby Football League, said: “Working with GameDay and Rewards4, the RFL has been able to provide functionality that will help our members reduce the cost of their membership in 2023 through the points they have earned through their participation in 2022.
“I believe this is one of the first schemes of its kind and could not have come at a better time with the current cost of living challenges that many people are facing.”
Daniel Bignell, GameDay senior project manager, said: “We’re very excited to be integrating with Rewards4 as we support the RFL and its participants across the community game. The RFL has been a shining light in terms of finding ways to innovate and provide value through its Our League Active membership.
“Being so close to their digital transformation over the past six years, it’s very satisfying to see a sport continuing to invest in and evolve how it engages with its participants and fans. Projects like this alongside the RFL and Rewards4 are why we love doing what we do here at GameDay.”
GameDay and Rewards4 will continue to work together to support the Rugby Football League with exchanges on participant statistics and the Rewards4 point redemptions, and as their Our League Active membership evolves will keep looking at ways to support the game.
