GameDay is pleased to announce that it will support our customers in Victoria to redeem the Get Active Kids Vouchers at the point of registration. The program run by the Victorian Government supports families finding it difficult to afford the costs associated with club fees, registration, equipment and uniforms.

The new workflow recently announced by the Victorian Government requires clubs and sporting organisations to register as a provider, which allows families to sign their kids up by using the voucher up front and reducing out-of-pocket expenses.

Families will be able to apply for a voucher up to $200 through Round 4 of the Get Active Kids Voucher Program from March 2022 and will then be required to submit the voucher to their local sporting club/organisation – which GameDay will facilitate at the point of online registration. Clubs and sporting organisations will then be able to redeem the voucher amount from the Government.

To be eligible for registration as an activity provider, clubs and sporting organisations must be affiliated with a recognised State Sporting Association or equivalent governing body.

GameDay will support the online validation, redemption and reporting of Get Active Kids Voucher codes and has been working closely with representatives of the Victorian Government from the Community and Recreation Sport Department to implement this to assist this new process for Round 4 of the Get Active Kids Voucher Program opening.

This will allow participants to enter their unique Get Active Kids Voucher code at the point of online registration. Once validated, this will deduct up to $200 from the online transaction for eligible membership or program-based registration fees. Organisations will then be able to run a report on any Get Active Kids Vouchers redeemed online in order to submit this information to the Victorian Government to redeem the value of the voucher.

Andy Graham, General Manager at GameDay’s says “We’re excited to be supporting Victorian sports organisations with streamlining their admin to support the Victorian Government changes. Clubs and sports are being asked to be a part of the Get Active Kids Voucher Program and this functionality in GameDay supports volunteer administrators to confidently offer this important voucher program to their members and families across a variety of sports in Victoria.”

More information on the exact process for organisations to offer this to their members will be released shortly.
